Meet the incredible team of physical therapists who teach our seminars.

 

Dr. Chris Kopp PT

Mr. Kopp graduated Magna cum Laude from the University of North Florida in 1995 with a Bachelor of Science in Physical Therapy. Mr. Kopp’s clinical background is varied and includes training from the University of St. Augustine manual therapy curriculum as well as osteopathic methodology of the spine and pelvis. He has also studied and been mentored by several sports physical therapy experts including Kevin Wilk, George Davies, Mark DeCarlo, and Brian Hoke for advanced biomechanics of the foot and ankle.

Mr. Kopp is certified kinesiotape practioner and utilizes advanced myofascial and soft tissue mobilization with his treatment techniques. As a former national level Ultimate Frisbee player (World finalist in 2002) he has intimate knowledge of sports related biomechanics and rehabilitation concepts and has worked with various amateur and professional athletes including within the auto racing industry, golf and distance runners. In 2006, Chris became board certified as an Orthopedic Clinical Specialist by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. In 2014, Mr. Kopp achieved certification as an Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapist through the Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy and was promoted to FIOMPT faculty in 2015. Mr. Kopp is an APTA member.

As current owner and clinical director of Premier Physical Therapy and Rehabilitation of Jacksonville, Chris incorporates evidence-based practice standards, manual therapy, advanced orthopedic clinical skills, medical exercise and kinematic taping along with compassionate care in order to achieve excellent patient outcomes and satisfaction. Chris resides in Atlantic Beach Florida with his wife and two children, and enjoys a variety of sports, including surfing and golf, while remaining active with his church and community.

Dr. Thomas Eberle PT

Dr. Thomas Eberle PT, KTCC, FAAOMPT is a native of Buffalo, New York where he completed his Master of Science, Physical Therapy in 1998 and immediately moved to south Florida to practice. Dr. Eberle completed his Doctorate of Physical Therapy/Orthopedic Residency in 2000 with the Ola Grimsby Institute and completed an Orthopedic Fellowship program for the American Academy of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (AAOMPT) through the Ola Grimsby Institute in 2006. Dr. Eberle works clinically at the Holy Cross Orthopedic Institute and he is an assistant professor for the University of St. Augustine, teaching orthopedic physical therapy. He also teaches continuing education courses for his company the Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy (FIOMPT). Dr. Eberle is the Director for the South East District of the FPTA and an active Fellow in the AAOMPT. He has published an orthopedic manual for the evaluation and treatment of orthopedic pathologies, is published in several medical journals, is certified in Kinematic Taping, and presents research and educational seminars nationally and internationally. He enjoys all kinds of sports, cooking, art, music, and traveling.

Dr. David Capote PT

Dr. David Capote was born in Miami, Florida and competed in athletics in high school and college. Dr. Capote worked as a student athletic trainer in his undergraduate program. After graduating with a Bachelors Degree in Exercise and Sports Science, he worked in a variety of settings, including an outpatient orthopedic rehabilitation center while attending graduate school. Dr. Capote received the award for top orthopedic student, demonstrating an early aptitude and affinity for Orthopedics.

Dr. Capote continued to refine his clinical skills through extensive post-graduate training in sports medicine and orthopedic manual physical therapy through the Ola Grimsby Institute (OGI), completing his Certification in Orthopedic Manual Therapy. In addition, he has completed an Orthopedic Residency and is completing his research for his Doctoral Degree in Manual Therapy through the Ola Grimsby Institute.

Dr. David Capote is currently the clinic manager and the Center Coordinator for Clinical Education (CCCE) Physicians Health Center in the Physical Therapy Department. Dr. Capote is a member for the APTA.
Dr. Capote is an orthopedic professor for the doctoral physical therapy program at Florida International University, and teaches post-graduate continuing education for physical therapists throughout the year with FIOMPT.
