Welcome to the Florida Institute of
Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy
(FIOMPT)

The Florida Institute of Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy is a consortium of physical therapists that have advanced training in specialized areas of PT. The primary objective of FIOMPT is teaching affordable post graduate physical therapy courses nationwide and internationally. These seminars focus on current evidence, including peer reviewed research, textbooks, and direct clinical evidence. FIOMPT is considered one of the leading national institutes in post graduate education.

FIOMPT, offers post graduate orthopedic manual physical therapy education. We offer a diverse, evidence based curriculum that is influenced by all major programs in the United States and abroad.

We are currently offering 1 year orthopedic manual physical therapy (OMPT) certification programs. The OMPT curriculum includes orthopedic evaluation of all body regions, thrust and non thrust manipulation, soft tissue mobilization, kinematic taping, and specific exercise. These programs include 12 weekend courses, cost $4,999 and are accredited for 150 CEHs by the FPTA. The PT will designate successful completion of the curriculum with “CMPT” following their name.

We are offering a Kinematic Taping Certification in 3 Florida regions this year- Northern Florida (Jacksonville-Gainesville), Central Florida (Tampa-Orlando), and Southeast Florida (Miami-Ft. Lauderdale-Palm Beach). This is a 50 hour curriculum for PTs, PTAs, OTs, OTAs, and ATCs. The therapist will designate successful completion of the curriculum with “KTCC” following their name.

We are excited about our brand new program, the Orthopedic Manual Physical Therapy Certification for PTAs. This is a 85 hour course series that includes training in soft tissue mobilisation, therapeutic exercise, and taping. The PTA will designate successful completion of the curriculum with “CMPTA” following their name.
